Fallen Angel

Eleanor and I like writing stories. Instead of being like normal 9 year olds, we would pull all nighters writing stories about Iwo Jima and witches and Civil War. With this photoshoot we started out writing elements of plot but then we canned that idea and just tried to emulate vibes.

Making the wings was an experience.

The wings themselves took hours of cutting and painting and taping. I pat myself on the back after they were made and thought I was done because for some reason I thought we could just duct tape the wings to the back of her clothes.

That didn't quite work so after a lot of thought we decided to glue the wings to a wooden board and then use extra large binder clips to hold the wooden board up.

We ended up pushing back the day of the shoot because we spent hours sitting on our creation in the middle of an Office Max parking lot to add pressure while the glue dried.

As we waited in that parking lot, we became slightly delirious but luckily we had a Phone a Friend still available and she came and brought us McDonalds <3
