Riya & Anuj Engagements | Palace of Fine Arts + Crissy Fields

This is my first shoot where I sent my couple an "Engagement Style Guide" beforehand. It's a 15 page PDF with pictures and text describing what clothing photographs the best and inspiration on how to style your engagement photos. I wasn't positive how it would be received, but when I first saw my couple, my jaw dropped. Like major heart eyes <3 <3 <3 I'm never NOT sending my clients style guides again!

Riya and Anuj are having a seven day Hindu wedding in India this winter. I got to learn a little bit about their culture and all the fun they get to look forward to and it sounds absolutely awesome! As is their culture, their families set them up, so they didn't have an American-style proposal. However, Anuj pulled me aside and whispered to me that he had bought Riya a ring and was secretly going to propose. I just about died! How sweet is that???

We started out at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts (apparently the most photographed wedding site in the U.S.) and then proceeded to Crissy Fields. You can't see it in the pictures because an evening fog set in (San Francisco for you) but the Golden Gate Bridge is somewhere there in the background haha. The pictures we got weren't 100% what we had in mind, but the grey skies makes for a much different mood than the glowy gorgeousness of the Palace and I couldn't be happier about it.

Congrats again Riya and Anuj!
