When Julie boarded the San Francisco Sunset Cruise on her one year anniversary with Josiah, she had no idea that I was boarding the same boat simply because she was.
Her now-fiancé and I had been in correspondence planning his proposal. Armed with my telephoto lens, I casually wandered around the boat keeping them in eye distance. I pretended to be taking pictures of the San Francisco skyline we moved farther from while she was looking and crept behind them taking candids when she was not.
Just after the boat passed Alcatraz, Josiah got down on one knee and asked the question every girl wants to hear. Her reaction was amazing. These shots are not posed in any way-- she was too caught up to even notice me! First her hands went to her face in surprise, then she pounced to the ground to kiss him while he was still kneeling, then she tackled him in an embrace on the ground. They both rose and put the ring on her left hand and many kisses followed.
