Jason + Melissa Engagements | Muir Beach

I really got a chance to get to know Jason and Melissa better during a long car ride together. I learned about how amazing Colombian food is, the sports Melissa played growing up, and their close families. Melissa and Jason are both funny and kind and attentive and perfect travel companions.

We were allowed the opportunity for mini-road trip bond because we travelled north of San Francisco to Muir Beach. This location has sentimental value because it was here that Jason got down on one knee and popped the question. He had coordinated with Melissa's sister to surprise her for the proposal. The day of, Melissa thought she and her sister were going to a sports event and was annoyed by how late they were going to be to the game. This melted away when she saw Jason's car parked and she ran down to the water to be asked a question she instantly said yes to.

You're all already convinced that Jason is a total sweetheart, but just in case-- get this. It's usually the bride that dictates engagement photos, but in this case, the groom went the extra mile. Jason buys Melissa flowers for no occasion from a flower shop that he chooses specifically for their beautiful bouquets, so he made sure to bring the most stunning arrangement to the beach. It also was his idea to bring the letters and the rose petals to make this engagement session even more eye-candy material.

I'm shooting their wedding in June and I cannot be more excited to get to spend even more time with them.
