When I first talked to Courtney, she told me that Alan can make things you might not think interesting, super interesting. For instance, she said, Alan loves trains and when he talks about them, he makes transportation intriguing.
Alan works in transportation in San Francisco, and his passion for his work is apparent. He told me that one of the things he loves most about Courtney is how willing she is to truly listen and how she appreciates his dorky nerdy.
Obviously they're perfect for each other so for their engagements, we adventured to Western Railway Museum to capture two things Alan loves: trains and his fiancé.
Also, if anyone loves adorable proposal stories, they have the cutest...
Alan was inspired by the havana, a Filipino tradition where a man and his friends serenade a woman from outside her home. If the man was worthy of their daughter, the parents invite him in.
Alan had asked Courtney's parents for permission to marry their daughter beforehand, so he made it through the front door (along with his friends and family since he's the classiest and wanted them to be present as well). He then got Courtney's permission to spend the rest of their lives together <3
They're getting married later this year, and it's going to be travel themed (!!!!) It's going to be awesome and I'm looking forward to just being able to spend more time in the presence of such sincere love. Congratulations again Courtney and Alan!
