Recommended Time: At least 30 minutes. Preferably Infinity ;)
1. Allocate AT LEAST half an hour to Couple Photos
Congratulations, your love look beautiful. These are the shots that are going to end up on your walls for the rest of your life. Designate the time necessary to take them well. If other people are present during this time, they'll want to talk and we won't be able to get in a rhythm taking couple photos. Consider being out of sight.
2. Doing a First Look allows you to really enjoy couple photos
Building off of #1, if you have feel the pressure of getting to your reception/guests as soon as possible, taking time for couple photos can feel rushed. Doing a first look is a great way to be sure to get in great bride and group portraits! We'll do the majority of a couple portraits before the ceremony, and still be able to sneak in 10 minutes post-ceremony-joy before the reception :)
3. Relax, you’re in good hands
Trusting your photographer is so important. Especially on your wedding day. You don’t want to have to worry about modeling on an already busy day. You want someone else who can direct you, make you look fantastic, and make your day less stressful and more enjoyable. This is why taking engagement photos with the same photographer beforehand acts as great practice.
4. I hope you actually like your wedding photographer
You’ll be spending time a lot with your photographer at your wedding. I hope, independent of their work, they're a person you want to spend time with on such an important day.
